It’s true, just about anyone can "make" a website.
It is also true that you get what you pay for. Effective websites are not created overnight.
Instead of boring you with technical details, we will simply say this. The websites crafted by Continuum Design are built from scratch, with each line of code planned and counted. What this means for you is a website with less code—saving your bandwidth and your balance sheet—and more value. Our sites are tested in all major browsers including Firefox, Safari, Camino, Opera and Internet Explorer, in both a Windows and Mac OSX environment. We do not create sites that fall apart from one browser to the next and we will never post a smarmy "Best Viewed With" statement on any of our work.
Our sites are also tested for accessibility by devices like screen readers. By planning for accessibility, we are able to craft sites that welcome rather than shun persons who surf the Internet in different ways. These features have no affect on the look or feel of a website and are implemented at no additional cost.
For the savvy technical shopper, we offer a few more carets. All of the sites developed by Continuum Design use valid XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS. There has not been, nor will there ever be, a site created by this studio using tables or transparent 1–pixel GIF files. These methods are outdated, archaic and impossible to control. Frankly, we feel no shame in saying that; tables are meant for empirical data. However, if your site calls for such information, we will gladly style a table or two.
When the site is completed and you’ve signed on the dotted line, we will collect the files and get your site up and running. We handle domain name searches, registration and file uploading. We use TextDrive for our web hosting; a better company you’re not likely to find.
